Taschen had an awesome sale about two weeks ago and most of the books that are in the stores shelves where on sale; it was epic. The stores where filled with people and online the books where going fast. I went to the Soho store in New York, the store it’s beautiful and the books to die! I love Taschen’s books and would love to have all of them. I bought a few in the store and others online, all of them in amazing prices, I couldn’t believe it! People where going crazy and even taking several copies of the same book.
One of the books I got was Fashion Ads of the 20th Century; it’s an amazing hardcover. It has so many old advertisements, all of them unique and beautiful, it’s incredible to flip through those pages and see all the different ads in the fashion history. Every page has an image of an ad and on the other side a quote from a famous designer, model or someone in the industry. Here are some quotes that caught me eye:
